In an organisation of the size and scale of Airline Services it is vitally important that one department has a complete overview of the entire operation and is wholly responsible for its day to day planning and organisation.
For that reason we established our Central Control Unit, the function of which is to liase with our customers and ensure that their requirements are met 365 days a year.
The scope of this service may be considered unique in the industry since it offers airlines dedicated and immediate access to information pertaining to their aircraft via one designated contact point a "Maintrol" for ramp and interior services.
This customer liason ensures that pre planned, scheduled work, such as exterior cleaning or seat cover removal and refit is programmed to our work specification in advance, accross all the airports at which we operate.
In this way we also ensure that all of our bases can function interactively and that we meet our customer's requirements and service level expectations consistently at all stations.
Additionally, we are of course able to respond to ad-hoc requests at any given station and to alert all stations to those requests immediately.
Because our Central Control Department has access to the most up to date information on work achieved as well as planned, we are able to provide our customers with as much reporting data as may be required on the status of their aircraft. This can be done entirely to each carrier's specification and at their preferred frequency, so offering an invaluable and open-book link between supplier and customer.
Our Central Control service extends beyond the function of our own bases too, both to the planning and management of work which we carry out overseas and to the integration of our UK operation with our customer's global requirements. In this context we are responsible, for example, for the carpet replacement programme of a number of international carriers and for the controlled shipment of manufactured carpet to their outstations for fitting.
